CC Work Session 2. 1. <br />Meeting Date: 12/09/2014 <br />Information <br />Title: <br />Discussion with Metropolitan Council Representative Ed Reynoso and Sector Representative Annalee Garletz <br />Purpose/Background: <br />The purpose of this topic is an opportunity to open a dialog regarding regional planning issues with Metropolitan <br />Council policy makers and staff. The City of Ramsey is located within the Metropolitan Council District #9 <br />represented by Edward Reynoso. The City's primary staff contact for regional planning at the Metropolitan Council <br />is Sector Representative Annalee Garletz, a recent addition to the Metropolitan Council Staff. <br />Consistent with our responses to the draft regional policy plans, Staff intends to highlight the following key topics. <br />1. Transportation (Highway 10, Highway 47) <br />2. Water Supply <br />3. Transit Oriented Development Policies and Standards (market relevance) <br />4. Regional Parks Alternative Alignment Studies <br />Timeframe: <br />30 Minutes. <br />Funding Source: <br />This case is being handled as part of normal Staff duties. No additional funding is necessary. <br />Responsible Party(ies): <br />Community Development Director <br />Outcome: <br />The intended outcome of the discussion is to share key regional priorities for the City of Ramsey with the <br />Metropolitan Council including, but not limited to the following: <br />1.
