2) <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />4) <br /> <br />5) <br /> <br />9.12.11 <br />Subd. 1 <br /> <br />9.12.12 <br />Subd. 1 <br /> <br />Subd. 2 <br /> <br />Subd. 3 <br /> <br />Subd. 4 <br /> <br />Subd. 5 <br /> <br />The gross surface area of a wall sign shall not exceed fifteen (15%) of the tenant's <br />or use's proportionate share of the building wall to which the sign is to be affixed. <br /> <br />The gross surface area of a ground sign shall not excced fifty (50) square feet for <br />each exposed face nor exceed an aggregate gross surface area of one hundred (100) <br />square feet. <br /> <br />A ground sign shall not project higher than ten (1) feet, as measured from based of <br />sign or grade of the nearet adjacent roadway, whichever is higher. <br /> <br />A wall sign shall not project higher than the parapet lie of the wall to which it is to <br />be affixed. <br /> <br />PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENTS <br /> <br />The developer shall be required to submit a sign plan for approval, drawn to scale <br />with elevations, at the time application is made for a Planned Unit Development. <br />The sign plan shall include but not be limited to the following information: number <br />of signs, type of signs, sign sizes, type of construction materials, and sign <br />messages. <br /> <br />CONSTRUCTION SPECIFICATIONS <br /> <br />All permanent signs permitted by this ordinance shall be constructed in accordance <br />with this section. <br /> <br />In addition to complying with the provisions of this ordinance, all signs shall be <br />constructed ih accordance with the applicable provisions of the 1991 Edition of the <br />Uniform Sign Code and State Electrical Code. <br /> <br />All signs shall be located in such a way that they maintain horizontal and vertical <br />clearance of all electrical power lines and communication lines. <br /> <br />Ail signs and their supporting structures shall maintain clearance and non- <br />interference with all surface and underground facilities and conduits for water, <br />sewage, gas, electricity, or communications equipment or lines. In addition, the <br />placement of all signs and their supporting structures shall not interfere with natural <br />or artificial drainage or surface or underground water. <br /> <br />All signs, except those attached flat against the wall of a building shall be <br />constructed to withstand minimum wind loads as follows: <br /> <br />a. Solid Signs: Thirty (30) pounds per square foot per face of the sign. <br /> <br />Open Signs: Thirty-six (36) pounds per square foot of the total face area of <br />the letters and other sign surfaces, or ten (10) pounds per square foot of the <br />gross surface area of the sign, whichever is greater. <br /> <br />Draft Date March 30, 1992 <br /> Page 14 of 19 <br /> <br /> <br />
