ORDINANCE #92- <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 2 OF THE RAMSEY CITY CODE KNOWN AS <br />COUNCIL, BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2 OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, <br />MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. SUMMARY <br /> <br />The following official summary of Ordinance ~92-__ has been approved by the City Council of <br />the City of Ramsey as clearly infornfing the public of the intent and effect of the ordinance: <br /> <br />It is the intent and effect of Ordinance ~92- to update the Chapter in accordance with the City <br />Charter and Minnesota Statutes regarding Council, Council Boards and Council Commissions and <br />the manner in which these Boards and Commissions conduct business activities including the order <br />of business, organization of meetings, Commission and Board composition, duties and <br />responsibilities and rules and procedures. <br /> <br />A printed copy of Ordinance #92-__ <br />Municipal Center. <br /> <br />is available for inspection by any person at the Ramsey <br /> <br />This Ordinance becomes effective upon its passage and thirty (30) days after publication according <br />to law. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. <br /> <br />AMENDMENT <br /> <br />Chapter 2 of the City Code is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />2.01 City Council <br /> <br />2.01.01 Meetings. <br /> <br /> Subd. 1. Regular Meetings. Regular meetings of the City Council; shall <br />be held on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each calendar month at 7:30 P.M. Any regular <br />meetings falling upon a legal holiday shall be held on the next following business day at the same <br />time and place. Ail meetings shall be held at the Ramsey Municipal Center, the Ramsey <br />Elementary School or such other public location as designated by the City Council. <br /> <br /> Subd. 2. Special Meetings. Special meetings of the council may be called <br />by the mayor or any two members of the council by written notice filed with the City Clerk, Each <br />council member shall receive at least 24 hour notice of such meeting. If that council member <br />cannot be found a written notice of such meeting shall be left at the Council member's home. <br />Special meetings may be held without prior written notice or when all council members are present <br />at the meeting or consent thereto in writing. Such consent shall be filed with the City Clerk prior to <br />the beginning of the meeting. Any special meeting attended by all the council members shall be a <br />valid meeting for the transaction of any business that may come before the meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
