ORDINANCE #92- CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 2 OF THE RAMSEY CITY CODE KNOWN AS COUNCIL, BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2 OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA The City of Ramsey ordains: SECTION 1. SUMMARY The following official summary of Ordinance ~92-__ has been approved by the City Council of the City of Ramsey as clearly infornfing the public of the intent and effect of the ordinance: It is the intent and effect of Ordinance ~92- to update the Chapter in accordance with the City Charter and Minnesota Statutes regarding Council, Council Boards and Council Commissions and the manner in which these Boards and Commissions conduct business activities including the order of business, organization of meetings, Commission and Board composition, duties and responsibilities and rules and procedures. A printed copy of Ordinance #92-__ Municipal Center. is available for inspection by any person at the Ramsey This Ordinance becomes effective upon its passage and thirty (30) days after publication according to law. SECTION 2. AMENDMENT Chapter 2 of the City Code is amended to read as follows: 2.01 City Council 2.01.01 Meetings. Subd. 1. Regular Meetings. Regular meetings of the City Council; shall be held on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each calendar month at 7:30 P.M. Any regular meetings falling upon a legal holiday shall be held on the next following business day at the same time and place. Ail meetings shall be held at the Ramsey Municipal Center, the Ramsey Elementary School or such other public location as designated by the City Council. Subd. 2. Special Meetings. Special meetings of the council may be called by the mayor or any two members of the council by written notice filed with the City Clerk, Each council member shall receive at least 24 hour notice of such meeting. If that council member cannot be found a written notice of such meeting shall be left at the Council member's home. Special meetings may be held without prior written notice or when all council members are present at the meeting or consent thereto in writing. Such consent shall be filed with the City Clerk prior to the beginning of the meeting. Any special meeting attended by all the council members shall be a valid meeting for the transaction of any business that may come before the meeting.
