Councilmembe~r~ Beyer stated that the City would have to consider cutting back other services, such <br />as Police and public Works to make money available for sealcoating projects. <br />Paul Bach, 16801 Radium Street N.W., Ramsey - asked if it would be feasible to assess all <br />homeowners i~ the :City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson stated that in a way, the City is doing that by paying 50% of the cost of <br />street mainten~ee projects. <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson stated that if the City is allowed to raise the levy limit, this type of <br />maintenance ctJuld be provided for in the general fund. <br /> <br />Gall Beckenbaeh, 15427 Argon Street N.W., Ramsey - asked if the certain amount of people <br />being assessed!were located only where the road is. <br /> <br />Mr. Jankowski replied that only people who have frontage onto the street are assessed; only the <br />benefitted properties can be assessed. <br /> <br />Mr. Ploeger expressed his disgust with the assessment. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Hardin to adjourn the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Hardin, Beyer and <br />Cich.
