7309 LAKE DRIVE * LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA 55014 * (612) 784-0657

17 April, 1991

CITY OF P~SEY
15153 NoWthen Boulevard NW
Ramsey, Minnesota 55303

Attention:

Sylvia Frolik
Zoning Administrator

Dear Ms Frolik:

The purpose for this Conditional Use Permit request is to allow for
the temporary installation of a mobit'e trailer for use by the Golf
Course Superintendant and his wife during the construction phase
of the golf course. The home would be removed in one to two
years. It would also have full service of a well and septic
system which would be shared by the Maintenance building when
it is constructed later this year.

Our desire for this arrangement is due to our concern for security
on the site since we know of a number of instances of all-terrain
vehicle use on the property. Unlike other constr~ction projects, a
golf course cannot be secured by fence and,.in this case, the
site is relatively isolated. Finally, it should be noted that
damage to a golf course during the maturation phase can result
in a loss of months, not days, of work. We believe the extra
expense incurred by us to install this home is well worth the
benefit of enhanced security.

The superintendent would also be on site to.handle critical issues
involving construction of the course. For example, we anticipate
beginning installation of the irrigation system in May. Since we
plan to use off-peak power to run the system, the system will be
watering between 9:00pm and 6:00am. Having someone on site to
check the system to prevent malfunctions reduces the chances of
h~ving a "wash out" of any part of the course until all of the
system is running correctly. (The irrigation system is also computer-
ized and we need a secure place to house the computer until the
Maintenance building is complete).
