An agreement with the city which would authorize and direct the City of Ramsey to remove the sign and sign structure, at the expense of the applicant, where maintenance is required and the maintenance is not furnished, but only after after a notice of sixty (60) days specifying the maintenance required by the City. 9.12.19 Subd. 1 Subd. 2 9.12.20 Subd. 1 Subd. 2 Subd. 3 Subd, 4 9.12.21 Subd. 1 9.12.22 Subd. 1 PERMIT ISSUANCE OR DENIAL The Zoning Administrator shall issue a permit for the erection, alteration, or relocation of a sign within 14 days of receipt of a completed application and applicable fess provided that the sign complies with all applicable laws and regulations of the City. When a permit is denied, written notice shall be provided to the applicant along with a brief statement of the reasons for denial. The Zoning Administrator or Building Official may suspend or revoke an issued permit for any false statement or misrepresentation of fact in the application. REFUNDS AND PENALTIES If a permit is denied, the permit fee shall be refunded to the applicant. If an issued permit is withdrawn by the applicant within 90 days of issuance, and if no inspections have been made and no work authorized by the permit has been performed, 50% of the permit fee may be refunded to the applicant. A permit issued by the Zoning Administrator becomes null and void if work is suspended or abandoned or not completed within 180 days of issuance, but may be reinstated with an additional payment of one-half of the original fee. Any sign installed or placed on any property prior to receipt of a permit, the specified permit fee shall be doubled. However, the payment of the doubled fee shall not relieve any person of any other requirement or penalties prescribed in this Section, ADMINISTRATION The Zoning Administrator and Building Official shall process applications for permits. The Building Official is empowered, upon presentation of proper credentials, to enter or inspect any building, structure, or premises in the City for the purpose of inspection of a sign and its structural and electrical connections to ensure compliance with all applicable codes and ordinances. VIOLATIONS When, in the opinion of the Zoning Administrator, a violation of the code exists, the Zoning Administrator shall issue a written order to either the owner of the sign or the owner of the property on which the sign is placed. The order shall specify those sections of the code involved, describe the violation and shall direct that the violation be corrected within 30 days from the date of the order. Sign Ord.
