Case #11: i, M~ropolitan Landfill Abatement Grant <br /> <br />Mr. JankoW~.' stated that the grant application is based on the premise that the City will operate <br />some type of ~hiplJing program for the residents. Enough revenue is expected to defray the cost of <br />the wood ehil~. <br />Mrs. Helling ~.ta. texl that the residents would appreciate the program; however, it is up to the <br />Council to d~de!if the City should pursue that program. She stated that the City's Insurance <br />Agent has de.ed that the present chipper does not meet his safety standards. <br /> <br />Motion by Co~ nciimember Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to approve Resolution <br />#91-05-123-d~ sigla~ ating the funding source for the 50% cash matching requirement and the <br />application f~ th~ Capital Assistant Grant Program (in conformance with the diminished scope) <br />from Metropolitan ~CouneiI. <br /> <br />Motion earrie4t. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Hardin, Beyer and Peterson. <br />Voting No: N~0ne. i Absent: Councilmember Cieh. <br /> <br />Case #12: AdOption of Ordinance Regarding Street Lighting <br /> <br />Mr. Jankows~ explained that an ordinance was introduced adding street lighting in the priority <br />areas to the 1~ of items the developer has to provide. <br /> <br />Motion by C0uneilmember Peterson and seconded by Mayor Gilbertson to adopt Ordinance ~/91- <br />10 to amend !CitY Code to require developers to install priority street lighting as a Phase I <br />Improvement.',: <br /> <br />Motion earned. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Beyer and Hardin. <br />Voting No: ~one. Absent: Couneilmember Cieh. <br /> <br />Case #13: ~Consider Introducing Ordinance Regulating Premises Which are <br /> 'Conducive to High-Risk Sexual Conduct <br /> <br />City AttorneY Goodrich stated there is great concern about AIDS and other sexually transmitted <br />diseases and lie is asking Council to consider inn'oducing this ordinance; read all the information <br />available veryiear~fully, and be prepared to discuss it at the June 25, 1991 City Council meeting. <br />Motion by CP,.~ un¢ilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to introduce <br />Ordinance 9,1~X Which is an ordinance affecting high-risk sexual conduct within the City. <br /> <br />Motion carrie. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Beyer and Hardin. <br />Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Cich. <br /> <br />Case #14: !City Acquisition of Property Tax Increment Financing District No. 5 <br />Mrs. Hellirg ~tated that at the last Council meeting, authorization was given to the Mayor and <br />herself todqa ~ire Utility property within the TIF District #5.
