PUBLIC HEARING <br />PLANNING AND ZONING <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Planning .and Zoning Commission held a public hearing to hear the proposed ordinance to <br />amend City Code to increase accessory structure height limits to twenty-two feet on Tuesday, May <br />7, 1991 at the ~amsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota <br />55303. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairman Gerald Zimmerman <br />Commissioner David Bawden <br />Commissioner Benjamin Deemer <br />Commissioner Terry Hendriksen <br />Commissioner Charles LaDue <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br />City Engineer Steven Jankowski <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Commissioner Michael Terry <br />Commissioner Bradley Thorud <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairman zimmerman called the public hearing to order at 8:09 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Ms. Frolik explained that a couple of months ago, the Building Official submitted a case to the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission to recommended that accessory structure heights be changed <br />from 16 feet t6 22 feet. At that time the Commission approved this change; however, a change in <br />City Code reqffires a public hearing, which is being conducted at this time. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Pete Nieder, 16203 Jaspar Street N.W., Ramsey - stated that 10 years ago, he tried to build an <br />accessory building.and he had a hard time getting a permit for it. He feels the increased height to <br />22 feet is not in the interest for the residents of Ramsey and it should not be increased to that <br />height. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Bawden to adjourn the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Deemer, Bawden, <br />Hendriksen and LaDue. Voting No: None.
