SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a special meeting on Tuesday, April 16, 1991 at the Ramsey <br />Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303. <br /> <br />Members Present Mayor James Gilbertson <br /> Coun cilmember Sheila B eyer <br /> Councilmember Richard Cich <br /> Councilmember Glen Hardin <br /> Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />CALL TO oRDER <br /> <br />Personnel Coordinator Kay McAloney <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Administrative Coordinator Penny Ott <br />Kim Knutson, Anoka County Union <br /> <br />Mayor GilbertS~on called the special City Council meeting to order at 6:08 p.m. <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />NoDe <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: 'Discuss Selection of City Administrator <br /> <br />Ms. McAloney presented the rankings of the two finalists for the City Administrator position, Mr. <br />Ryan Schroeder and Mr. Ken Huber. <br /> <br />Councilmemb.~r Hardin commented that the Search Committee reviewed all the reference checks <br />and both candiglates had received excellent references. He stated the Committee is recommending <br />that City CounCil offer the position of City Adminislxator to Ryan Schroeder. <br /> <br />The Council d/scuSsed the salary and benefit packages and gave their personal opinions of the <br />candidates.. : <br /> <br />Ms. McAloney stated all of the requests are negotiable. <br /> <br />Motion by CoUncilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to offer the City <br />Administrator ~osirion to Ryan Schroeder. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Beyer, Cich and <br />Hardin. Voting NO: None. <br />Motion by M~3'or Gilbertson and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to authorize the Search <br />Committee to riegotiate the specifics. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Beyer, Cich and <br />Hardin.
