b) <br /> <br />Occupant Identification Signs. <br /> <br />1 ) All occupant identification signs in an industrial and office park shall be wall signs. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />There shall not be more than one wall sign for each principal building or principal <br />tenant or use within a building. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />9.12.11 <br />Subd. I <br /> <br />ThC gross surface area of a wall sign shall not exceed fifteen (15%) of the tenant's <br />or usc's proportionate share of the building wall to which the sign is to be affixed. <br />pLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENTS <br /> <br />Sign requirements in planned unit development areas would be controlled by the <br />City Council when the development is planned. <br /> <br />9.12.1 2 CONSTRUCTION SPECIFICATIONS <br /> <br />Subd. 1- <br /> <br />Subd. 2 <br /> <br />Altpermanent signs permitted by this ordinance shall be constructed in accordance <br />with this section. <br /> <br />in addition' to complying with the provisions of this ordinance, all signs shall be <br />constructed in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Building Code and <br />Electrical Code. <br /> <br />Subd. 3 <br /> <br />All: signs shall be located in such a way that they maintain horizontal and vertical <br />clearance of all electrical power lines and communication lines. <br /> <br />Subd. <br /> <br />All signs and their supporting strucures shall maintain clearance and non- <br />interference with all surface and underground facilities and conduits for water, <br />sewage, gas, electricit3,, or communications equipment or lines. In addition, the <br />placement of all signs and their supporting structures shall not interfere with natural <br />or arrfificial drainage or surface or underground water. <br /> <br />Subd. 5 <br /> <br />All signs, except those attached flat against the wall of a building shall be <br />constructed to withstand minimum wind loads as follows: <br /> <br />a. Solid Signs: Thin5, (30) pounds per square foot per face of the sign. <br /> <br />SIGN <br /> <br />Open Signs: Thim,-six (36) pounds per square foot of the total face area of <br />the letters and other sign surfaces, or ten (10) pounds per square foot of the <br />~oss surface area of the sig-n, whichever is seater. <br /> <br />INSTALLERS LICENSE <br /> <br /> Subd. 1 ---¢...No person, fn-m or corporation shall engage in the business of erecting, altering. <br /> extending, repainng or maintaining signs or sign structures within the City of <br /> .. t-}~}" R~m~ex' without first having procured a license in accordance with the provisior~s of <br /> iu~-~Ch-~tptcr ?
