CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> ~ STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey~ity Council conducted a meeting on Tuesday, June 25, 1991, at the Ramsey <br />Municipal Ce~lter, i15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramscy, Minnesota 55303. <br /> <br />Members l~nc <br /> <br /> 7 <br />Also Present: ~ <br /> <br />Mayor James Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Shcila Beycr <br />Councilm~mb~ Richard Cich <br />Counciln~mbew Glen Hardin <br />Counciln~mb~r Kenneth Peterson <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gflber~on called thc meeting to order at 7:34 p.m. and led in thc Pledge of Allegiance to the <br />Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Mary Jo SenWrz, Small World Daycare, was present to ask the City for financial support of <br />$25,000 for thc past year and $25,000 for each year the adult bookstore remains in its present <br />location. Shc~xplained how the daycare business has declined since the opening of the book store <br />and since thci!d~YCare has supported the City through taxes, it's the City's turn to support the <br />daycare. <br /> <br />Joseph Sent'y~Z~, Small World Daycare, was present and thanked the City Council for their logical <br />reduction of ~opC_rty valuation in the Riverside West Development. He also asked for financial <br />support in the!amount of $50,000 so their business could remain operational. <br /> <br />Mayor Gilb~.rBon empathized with the Sentyrz' and stated that the best the City Council can do is <br />to try to rectify the situation. <br />Mr. and Mrs. Senty~ provided City Council with a written statement which are Attachments A and <br />B to these rnittutes. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich requested an Attorney/Client Closed Privileged meeting to discuss the <br />Welsh Prope~ and present the status of condemnation in that lawsuiL <br /> <br />Motion by C6uncflmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Cich to approve the agenda <br />as presented. ~ <br /> <br />Motion carrit~l.
