Upon inquiry', as to what is a permitted use under the current zoning, Ms. l~rolik answered retail <br />businesses, rq, staurants, office buildings, professional buildings, funeral homes, medical and <br />animal clinics[;and-accessory adult uses, etc. <br /> <br />Robert Lund¢, 14393 Waco Street N.W., Ramsey - stated he is against rezoning for multiple <br />dwellings. He feels he would be at a personal risk of n-affic problems and perhaps personal loss of <br />property value and the difficulty of selling his home in the future. <br /> <br />Ms. IZrolik asked the residents if they would be against R-3 which allows seven units per acre to <br />which the), at3Swered yes, they would be opposed. <br /> <br />She then asked if the residents would be opposed to R-2 which allows duplexes to which the <br />majority again answered yes, they would be opposed. <br /> <br />Upon inquiry as to what is a permitted use for R-3, Ms. Frolik answered multiple dwellings up to <br />seven units p~r acre, single and two family homes, churches, schools, agriculture, gardening and <br />P.U.D. to obtain townhouses. <br /> <br />Upon inqUiryl if this neighborhood was getting "picked on" because they had City sewer and <br />water, Ms. FrOlik replied that multiple family dwellings cannot be developed without City sewer <br />and water. <br /> <br />A resident commented that Mr. Raudio had made mention of a bowling alley in the neighborhood, <br />and in thinking it over, he felt this would create less stress on the neighborhood than multiple <br />family dwelli~igs might. <br /> <br />Upon inquiry as to how much public opinion helps, Chairman Zimmerman stated all comments are <br />considered when making a decision. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Bawden to adjourn the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Deemer, Bawden, <br />Hendriksen, Terry and Thom& Voting No: None.
