The Ramsey C <br />Acres Estates <br />Municipal <br /> <br />Members Prer~ <br /> <br /> PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />ity Council conducted a public hearing regarding Improvement Project #91-03 (Rum <br />!'st and 2nd Additions sealcoating) on Tuesday, September 10, 1991 at the Ramsey <br />ter~ 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303. <br /> <br />nt: <br /> <br />Mayor James Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br />Councilmember Richard Cich <br />Councilmember Glen Hardin <br />Counciimember Kenneth Peterson <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />City Attomey William Goodrich <br />City Engineer Steven Jankowski <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbert~o~ n called the public heating to order at 7:18 p.m. <br />PRESENTATION <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that Improvement Project #91-03 is the Rum Acres Estates 1 st and <br />2nd Additions! sealcoafing project. The total cost estimated for the project in February was <br />$8,342.00 wiffi an estimated per unit assessment of $160.42. The actual cost was $4,169.64 and <br />the actual aSseSsment per unit (26 units) is $80.19 <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Dorothy Stadf~lt, 15111 Juniper Ridge Drive N.W., Ramsey - inquired why the actual amount is <br />approximately ~0%:less that the estimated amount. <br /> <br />Mr. Jankowski!istated that the original cost estimate was done in February, 1991 which was at the <br />time of the Gi.t~ War and oil prices were uncertain. He explained that he estimated the costs would <br />be approximat{ly 10% higher than the highest 1990 bid; however, the oil prices were 30% lower <br />than the lowestibid received in 1990. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Motion by Cotmcilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to adjourn the public <br />hearing. ~ <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Beyer, Cich and <br />Hardin.
