Councilm~mber <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION # <br /> <br />RESOIqUTION AUTHORIZING STAFF TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT <br />WITHUS LINK FOR LOCAL AND LONG DISTANCE PHONE SERVICE TO <br />CITY OF RAMSEY FACILITIES <br /> <br /> wHEREAS, the City of Ramsey currently has local and long distance service <br />through several providers, including Qwest, McLoed, and AT&T; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has experienced service problems with both Qwest and <br />McLoed; ~nd <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, city staff has solicited a proposal from US Link for local and long <br />distance phone service for City Hall facilities which would provide a cost savings of <br />approxim~Iely $600 per month and reduced reconciliation of multiple billing statements; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, US Link currently provides phone service to the cities of Andover, <br />Ham Lake~, and Blaine in the north metro and favorable reports have been received with <br />regard to ttjeir services. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey authorizes city staffto enter into an <br />agreement with US Link for local and long distance service for City of Ramsey <br />facilities. <br /> <br />The ]notion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Coun¢ilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Whereupon;,'said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council thi~ the 24th day of February 2004. <br /> <br /> <br />
