I just recently became aware of the need for this permit after sendin8 in the Bust~ess Registration form and fee that the city sent out in the fall of 2003. Megan WaLd frorti the City if Ramsey, notified me that I was not in compliant with the city and needed to apply t~or this permit. I wo~Jtd also like to give you some information resarding my business. I am a custom cabtbet shop and have been operatin8 it on my property for the past 17 years since 1 purc'J~ased the property in 1987. I have always run my business with the idea that it would not affect my neishbors in an~ay. I believe I have accomplished this for the entire 17 years I have been here. I ha~e not had any complaints from nei8hbors. I have kept traffic down to a minimal, with~on[y 2 or 3 lumber deliveries per month on average. My shop is air-condition, so I worl(, with the doors and windows dosed at alt times, there is virtually no noise from the shop:, I also employee only one employee and that is my son-in-Law, so I only have one additional vehic(e parked by my shop. I normally meet my customers at their home, so ther~ is no additional traffic from that respect. I also keep a very welt maintained yard and j~roperty. You would never know from ddvin8 by my property that a business is bein8 operated from these premises. I Look forward to becomin8 compliant with the City of Ramsey as soon as possible.
