AMEND 2004 RATES & CHARGES FOR COMMERCIAL TRAIL <br />AND PARK DEDICATION FEES <br /> By: Diana Lurid, Finance Officer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The 2004 rates and charges were adopted by City Council at its regular meeting of <br />November 25, 2003, and amended at its regular meeting of December 9, 2003. During <br />this meeting, staff was directed to review the commercial trail and park dedication fees <br />and forward a recommendation to the Parks Commission. <br /> <br />The Parks and Recreation Commission were presented information regarding commercial <br />trail and park dedication fees at its regular January meeting. They requested more <br />detailed information and tabled the item. After further information was obtained (Park & <br />Recreation Commission Case is attached for review), the item was placed on the <br />February 19, 2004, Park and Recreation Commission. <br /> <br />The Park and Recreation Commission made the following recommendations regarding <br />commercial trail and park dedication fees for 2004: <br /> <br />Commerical/Industrial Trail Development Fee $1090/Acre ($100/Acre currently). <br /> <br />Commerical Park Fees-$4,356/acre <br /> (Currently 5%FMV with a minimum of $2.00 per sq ft) <br /> <br /> The commercial park fee would go to a straight per acre fee and do away with <br />calculation of percentages. <br /> <br />Committee Action: <br /> <br />Motion to recommend Council Adopt Resolution #04-02-XXX amending the 2004 rates <br />and charges to amend the rates for Commercial/Industrial trail fees and Commercial Park <br />Dedication Fees. <br /> <br /> <br />
