Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #14 -10 -222 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PARTIAL PAYMENT TO KUECHLE <br />UNDERGROUND INC. FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 12 -22; RIVERDALE DRIVE <br />RECONSTRUCTION AND EXTENSION — ARMSTRONG BOULEVARD TO <br />TRAPROCK STREET <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to a motion of the Ramsey City Council, adopted May 13, 2014, <br />accepting plans and specifications and authorizing advertisements for bids for making the <br />Riverdale Drive improvements including concrete curb and gutter, bituminous paving, storm <br />sewer, utilities, and other necessary appurtenant work; and <br />WHEREAS, the bid of Kuechle Underground Inc. in the amount of $2,649,722.45 for the <br />total bid is the lowest responsible bidder; and <br />WHEREAS, as of October 28, 2014 $0 has been paid to date; and <br />WHEREAS, the Engineering Technician IV has inspected the completed work and <br />recommends partial payment to Kuechle Underground, Inc. in the amount of $585,103.14. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to Kuechle Underground, Inc. for <br />Improvement Project 12 -22; Riverdale Drive Improvements in the amount of $585,103.14. <br />2) That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City <br />Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. <br />3) That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of <br />bills for the date of October 28, 2014. <br />4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this <br />resolution. <br />That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this resolution <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />LeTourneau and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Councilmember Riley <br />Councilmember LeTourneau <br />Councilmember Backous <br />Councilmember Johns <br />Councilmember Kuzma <br />Councilmember Tossey <br />
