He didn't feel anyfl lng ~ill be accomplished with another he~ing. On the question of hours, that too is being reduce from what was in the Findings of ~act. Only the furnace will be operating 24 hours a day; ih, reOeiving portion of the business will be from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Satu~d~ ~} Councilmembers DeLuca and Cich felt another hemng is needed because of some inconsiSt~ facts and the need for the public to comment on the changed request. The vote was three yes, one no, three absent, comm~ ting~ ~e Council doesnt have much to stand on. ~. Neilson stated he is prepared to discuss theft ct that Ordinance ~0-5 does not apply. The Council generally noted again their desire to hold [~:,oth~r public he~ing because of the ch~ges since the initial hearing. Case ~5: Agreement Granting Authorization to Waste Management of ~ l{inhesota, Inc. to Discharge Processed Groundwater into the City's Stor~ Sewer System Attorney Goo~ch Summ~zed the proposal and a~eement which was approv~ in concept by the Counci~ on De~m~er 11, 1999 for WMMI to dis~h~ge processed ~oundwater ~om ~ound the landfill through(~a forced system to the point just north of the Burlin[ton No,bern railroad tracks. At that point: iff wo~ld connect to the City's gravity sto~ sewer system and continue to the Mississippi R~vY~r. WMMI proposes to cons~uct an extension of the ~itv's existing system from its present loca~on northward to across the railroad ~acks, all done to the City's standards.
