The Councili {gre~,d to reappoint Gary Reimann and Richard Netzloff as Quad Cities Cable <br />Commission IJ}leghtes. <br /> <br />The assignment of ~dm~msn'anve duties m the absence of the City Administrator is to be left open <br />until the Persodnel Committee can make a recommendation. <br />Motion by Cgt~cil~ember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Cich to adopt Resolution <br />01-006, a resO~fiofi for 1991 Council organization. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Beyer, Cich, Hardin and <br />Peterson. VotiNg No: None. <br /> <br />Finance Officer Aihley explained that Merland Otto has served as the City's liaison in the past <br />regarding solid wa~;te iss,u, es and public hearings are scheduled for January 16 and 17, regarding <br />the Metropolitin Cp. until s Draft Solid Waste Management Development Guide/Policy Plan. She <br />asked if the C~, ncil wishes to have Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. continue working on the <br />solid waste iSsties relating to Site P, and do they wish to appoint a committee to work with landfill- <br />related issueS. <br /> <br />City Engineer ~ankowski stated he has not yet been brought up to speed on the developments of <br />Site P; howe~er, he will be attending those meetings in the future. If Hakanson Anderson <br />Associates, In& h~{s been in an observatory role for the City, he felt he would now be able to <br />represent th~ City.i: However, if Hakanson Anderson has been actively preparing documents for <br />tesnmony, he ~elt It would be ~n the C~ty s best ~nterest to retmn them for this ~ssue. <br /> <br />At this time, t~ C0uncilmembers asked Mr. Jankowski to determine the amount of involvement of <br />Hakanson Anders6~n on the Site P issue. No physicals are required. Mayor Gilbertson <br />and Councflm{mb~r C~ch had reservanons about making a decision at this meeting because they <br />have not hadti~e to study all the new information given them this evening. <br /> <br />Fire Chief DaS, id ,Griffin felt it would be in the City's best interest to look at the short-term <br />disability, issue2 at/his time.
