Ms. Ashley r¢c~m~ended a rate study be done for the Utility District. In addition, she and Mr. <br />J-ankowski wOu d like to review the rates for service availability proposed by Pete Raatikka in his <br />January 3, 19~'. men'mo. Voti~ g No: None. <br /> <br />Case #7: .Wai~ving of Health and Life Insurance and Medical Reimbursement <br /> l~or Ramsey City Councilmembers for 1991 <br />Ms. McAlone3' exI~lained the Councilmembers can waive health and life insurance benefits, <br />however, all fix e mi~mbers must waive them. To receive coverage in the future, all five members <br />must agree and mui;t be accepted by LOGIS. If one member does not qualify, then none of the <br />members willl I: ~. ac~:epted. Also, because of the State Statute, if the benefits are waived for 1991, <br />the soonest the 2ouhcil could be covered again would be after the election in 1993 for coverage in <br />1994. LOGI$1 as s~tid there are only two cities they represent that have coverage for their elected <br />bodies. Votihl~.Noi None. <br />Case #8: iburghase of Mobile Radios <br /> <br />City Engineer .~an~wski explained the two radios for the Public Works Department will come <br />from the 1991 }udget. A third radio is proposed to be ordered for the new truck at a future time. <br />He is also requ~stin,g an additional $200.00 for an antenna and power source which would put the <br />budget $45.00 ~bver with this, and the purchase of the third radio. He is also requesting a radio for <br />the Engineerin~ Dopartment s new vehicle to be funded from the 1990 Engineering Department <br />start-up cost ib.~dg{t. There are no maintenance service charges, and this equipment will be <br />compatible wtth~ the[existing radios. <br /> <br />Motion by C°uhcilrhember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Cich to adopt Resolution #91- <br />01-009 iuthbdzin~ the purchase of mobile radios for the Public Works and Engineering <br />Departments. i <br /> <br />Further disctls$ion~ Councilmember Cich felt it is needed and that a $45.00 overrun can be <br />absorbed.
