Commissioner[Deetmer indicated that if Mr. Delaney feels that he can better identify the location of business as An ,0ka, !then he should be approaching Anoka for his conditional use permit. Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner LaDue to add an item to the proposed condmonal use permit requtnng the pernm holder to ~denufy the kennel and any other commercial use on :the property as being located in the City of Ramsey. Motion failed:i Voting Yes: Commissioners LaDue and Deemer. Voting No: Vice-Chairman Hendriksen, Cbmmissioners Thorud, Terry and Bawden. Absent: Chairman Zimmerman. Motion by co~mmi.ssioner Thorud and seconded by Commissioner Bawden to recommend that the City Council apprOVe Mr. Charles Delaney's request for a conditional use permit as amended. Motion carrie'& Voting Yes: Vice-Chairman Hendriksen, Commissioners LaDue, Bawden, Deemer, Terry andThorud. Voting No: None. Absent: Chairman Zimmerman. Mr. Delaney ,.xplt~ined to the Commission that his operation has provided a lot of publicity for Ramsey, but ~e dqesn't feel the community should put the burden on him to promote the City's identity. Mr. Dela~ney added that he is receptive to the idea of a joint venture between the kennels and the City ot~ Ramsey to promote the City's identity and location. Mr. and Mr~i StCven Haigh were present requesting a conditional use permit for a home occupation toloperate a retail trophy and plaque business in their home at 14151 Geranium Street N.W. Mr. H~igh~ submitted a petition to the Planning and Zoning Commission signed by 35 households in,?he area indicating no objection to Mr. Haigh's request. The CommisSion proceeded to review the proposed Findings of Fact. Motion by C .,.o~nmissioner Terry and seconded by Commissioner Deemer to amend Item #12 of the proposed Fin~ing~ of Fact to indicate that the proposed use will increase traffic to the subject property. Motion carrigd. Voting Yes: Vice-Chairman Hendriksen, Commissioners LaDue, Bawden, Deemer, Terry and Thorud. Voting No: None. Absent: Chairman Zimmerman. Motion by COmmissioner Bawden and seconded by Commissioner Ten3, to amend Item #13 of the proposed Fi .'rtl:tings of Fact to indicate that the proposed use will not be unduly dangerous to persons residing in the vicinity. Motion carried, iVoting Yes: Vice-Chairman Hendriksen, Commissioners LaDue, Bawden, Deemer, Terr~ and Thorud. Voting No: None. Absent: Chairman Zimmerman. Motion by C6mraissioner Thorud and seconded by Commissioner Terry to amend Item #14 of the proposed Fiq~ings of Fact to indicate that the proposed use will not substantially impair the use and enjoyment of surrounding property. .
