I I I I I I ! I I i 9.12.16 ;PERMIT FEES The permit feelYor l~ermanent and temporary signs shall be as provided by City Council resolution. 9.12.17 ~EXEMPTIONS Subd. I ',Theiexemptions permitted by this section shall apply only to the requirement of a ~err~it and/or fee and shall not be construed as reliewng the installer of the sign, or l~he Owner of the property upon which the sign is located, from conforming with the ~ther provisions of this ordinance. Subd. 2 A pe~rmit, but no fee, is required under this section for the following signs: a) Temporary br permanent signs erected by a non-profit organization, as defined by Federal Code b) Signs erected by a governmental unit or public school district. c) Banner~;, p~nnants, wh~rhng devices and revolwng searchlights used in conjunction with a publ|clievelnt or grand opening for the week of the public event or grand .opening d) On-pre0fisel constructions signs having a sign area of 80 square feet or less. Subd. 3 ,,No permit or fee is required under this section for the following signs: a) A window gign not exceeding thirty percent (30%) of the window area. b) On pregfise directional/informational signs having a sign area of four (4) square feet or c) t-Iolida~ decorations temporarily displayed on traditionally accepted civic, patriotic, or religiO(s holidays. d) On premise!address or nameplate identification signs having a sign area of 4 square feet or less. e) Memorfa] plaques or tablets, grave markers, statutory, or other remembrances of persons or events that are nomcommercial in nature. fi Interio~ Signs which are fully located within the interior of an5, building or stadium, or within ~n eqclosed lobbv or court of any building, or in the lobby or entrance of any theatre which are idtended sole~v for information relatine to the interior ~peration of the buildine in which they are located. ,,) On-prerl~ise;temporarv real estate signs.
