However, the payment of the doubled fee 'ghali not relieve any person of any other requirement or penalties prescribed in this Sect!on. iADMINISTRATION The!Zoning Administrator and Eui!ding ©flit!x! shall process applications for Permits. The Building Official is empowered, upon presentation of proper Cred,entials, to enter or inspect any building, structure, or premises in the City for ~ihe purpose of inspection of a sign and its structural and electrical connections to ensure compliance with all applicable codes and ordinances. VIOLATIONS When, in the opinion of the Zoning Administrator, a violation of the code exists, ihe Zoning Administrator shall issue a written order to either the owner of the sign :[ or tile owner of the property on which the sign is placed. The order shall specify ;those sections of the code involved, describe the violation and shall direct that the !violation be corrected within 30 days from the date of the order, unless !.Otherwise specified by the Zoning Administrator. ;!f th~ Zoning Administrator or Building Official finds that a sign is abandoned Or is structurally, or electrically defective, or in any way endangers the public, the iZonlng Administrator or Building Official shall issue a written order to the bwn'er of the sign and occupant of the premises stating the nature of the violation !and ~'equiring repair or removal of the sign within 60 days of the date of the order. REMOVAL OF SIGNS BY THE ZONING ADMINISTRATOR Y['helZoning Administrator may cause the removal of any illegal sign, any sign ;remaining after a business closes, or any sign not properly maintained in cases of em&,2encv, or after failure to timely ct~mplv with written orders for removal or :repair. After removal or demolition of the sign, a notice shall be mailed to the sign · Owner and owner of the property where the sign was located stating the nature of ilthe Work and the date on which it was performed and demanding payment of the :~costS as certified by the Zoning Administrator together with an additional 50% for 4nsp~ction and incidental costs. i~If the amount specified in the notice is not paid within 30 days after mailing of the notii:e, it shall become a lien against the property where the sign was located and Sign Ord.
