We recognize and have planned <br />for parkland ~edication including lands for a City park, the above <br />trail and a Scenic Easement. Documentation is 'presented herein <br />relating t~ parkland dedication consistent %zith City Code. <br /> <br />Ordinance ~$8~1 essentially states that sufficient trail right-of- <br />way land shall be provided within the Critical Area District and I <br />expect thi~ relates to ~ew subdivisions. Much of the proposed Faye <br />Addition and ~11 of th~ land southerly of proposed Riverside Drive <br />is withi~ the Critical Area. <br /> <br />I understand that your Commission recommends to the Planning <br />Commission~ concerning all parkland dedication and that trail land <br />as planned!iin~the Mississippi Corridor counts as required parkland <br />if it is not adjacent to a public street. Also your commission <br />recommends a trail right-of-way width of 35 feet. <br /> <br />Subsequenti to the initial Sketch Plan submittal to the Planning <br />· Commission' on July 17, 1990, I met with your Commission on August <br />8 at which~iti~,e your recommendations related primarily to ~he ~ajor <br />park site.'I Apparently your Commission considered the Trail at your <br />meetings of Nbvember and December, 1990..Subsequently at least ten. <br />alternatiMe trail locations have been considered. <br /> <br />We reco~gnd the trail <br />Trail Pla~ as the trail: <br /> <br />location shown on the attached Park and <br /> <br />Width and location is completely consistent with <br />ithe City Code. <br /> <br />,Is: consistent with the Regional Trail Corridors <br />designated within Anoka County in the Recreation <br />;Open Space Deve!cpment Guide/Plan of the <br />!Metropolitan Council. <br /> <br /> <br />
