Agency. The groundwater remediation system will consist <br /> of twent~ g~oundwater extraction wells, a conveyance pipeline and <br /> a treatment.' facilty. The treatment process includes two air <br />'strippin~ t~wers that will remove volatile organic compounds from <br /> the extracted groundwater.. WMMI would like to obtaln approval for <br /> this project, from the City of Ramsey. To provide the City with the <br /> information needed to make a decision on this project WMMI would <br /> like to ~ave the opportunity to present the project to the City <br /> Council/~lanning Commission and public at a public information <br /> meeting i~n F~ebruary. Following this presentation WMM~I will answer <br /> questions f~om the Council or public. Upon answering questions <br /> WMMI re.~uests that the City Council ' approve the project <br /> construct~ion subject to .the final approval of the MPCA, Anoka <br /> County and Metropolitan council. <br /> <br /> The groundwater remediation project has been approved by the <br /> Minnesot~ Pollution Control Agency Division of Groundwater and <br /> Solid WaSte. Obtaining final approval for construction of the <br /> project ~ftom. Anoka County and Metropolitan Council is in progress. <br /> WMMI has ~.ico~mitted to initiating construction of the groundwater <br /> cleanup system this spring with startup of the system scheduled for <br /> August 1,;i 1991.
