Councilmember LeTourneau introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #14 -11 -247 <br />RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE ANOKA TORNADOES BOYS SOCCER TEAM <br />FOR WINNING THE CLASS 2A STATE TITLE IN BOYS HIGH SCHOOL SOCCER <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council is extremely proud to recognize the Anoka High <br />School Tornadoes Boys Soccer Team for winning the Class 2A State Title in Boys High School <br />Soccer; and <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council recognizes this well - deserved championship victory <br />was accomplished through hard work, teamwork, and good sportsmanship of the players as well as <br />great leadership by the coaching staff, and <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council recognizes that Anoka High School is the <br />primary High School serving the City of Ramsey. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby recognizes and congratulates the Anoka Tornadoes <br />Boys Soccer Team and its coaching staff, as well as the parents and the Anoka - Hennepin <br />School District, on the outstanding achievement of earning the Class 2A State Title in <br />Boys High School Soccer. <br />That the motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember Riley and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: <br />Mayor Strommen <br />Councilmember LeTourneau <br />Councilmember Riley <br />Councilmember Johns <br />Councilmember Kuzma <br />the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />and the following abstained: <br />None <br />
