The primary ~s~s of compensation for project work is proposed to be <br />one of two m~th~ds dependent on the project phase,.. 'For those items of <br />work which ~ i~ot clearly defined, the c°st~plus fixed fee with an <br />upset limit~ ~roposed. For those~phaSes of the project that have a <br />well define4 is~pe of work, the lump sum method is proposed. FOr <br /> serV~ce~ such as extensive public hea~ings, additional <br />special <br />meetings be~d~d~Ithose allocated, or similar work, the preferred com- <br />pensation i~ i~ni!an hourly basis. Direct expenses attributed to the <br />project woul4 b~ billed at cost with no mark up. <br />We propose ~ enter into a prime agreement with the city which will <br />outline each~p~cific phase of the project (i.e, environmenta% <br />assessment, ~/~eying, preliminary engineering, land acqUisitxon, <br />design, construction) as well as allocated man hours and expenses for <br />each phase. ~O~thly progress reports w~ll then be submitted to the <br />City, Mn/DOT ian4 ultimately FAA indicating status of <br /> completion. <br />Dependent on ~h9 funding arrangements, work is proposed to be invoiced <br />on a monthly.~&~ie with reimbursement expected within 30 days. For <br />those perio~w~en little activity is occurring due to steps between <br />project pha~,i'iagency reviews, etc., invoicing can be done at longer <br />intervals shOulder he City desire. Should the City select Hakanson <br />Anderson As~i~tes, Inc. for this assignment, we would welcome the <br />opportunity ~'.~o discuss the City's position prior to contract <br />preparation, i' ~. <br />All personneI are required to keep daily time logs indicating hours <br />worked on eaOh project.
