Work has <br /> included the Airport: Master Plan, Layout Plan, <br /> Environmental Studie~3~, ZOning Maps, Land Acqui~ <br /> sition Assistance, and Field Surveys, as well as a <br /> Feasibility Report and Plans and Specifications <br /> for the recent expansion rprogram to accommo- <br /> date business jet aircraft. <br /> <br /> TKDA's Fergus Falls Municipal Airport Expan- <br /> sion program employed a unique pavement <br /> structure because of unstable, frost-susceptible <br /> soils. The program, Which included construction <br /> of a primary runway, taxiway, aircraft parking <br /> apron, entrance road, and car parking lot, won <br /> the Minnesota Society of:Professional Engineers <br /> 1981 Seven Wonders of Engineering Award and <br /> a Consulting Engineers Council Honorary Award <br /> for 1980. <br /> <br /> 6" Pefforat~ <br />i.
