This federal impact assessment reports and preliminary engl- <br /> and state assistance can amount to as much as 90% neers reports. Eligible implementation phase items <br /> of the project costs, include land, airfield pavements, lighting, entrance <br /> TKDA personnel work continuously with federal roads, fencing, obstruction removal, landing aids, <br /> and state airport programs, are familiar with the fre- pavement markings, public portions of administra- <br /> quently changing program criteria, and often assist tion buildings and engineering costs. States may also <br /> clients in pursuing grants under these programs, participate in other areas of airport development. <br /> <br />Fergus Falls Municipal Airport, Minnesota <br /> <br /> TKDA has periodically provided airport engineer- <br /> ing services to the City of Fergus Falls since 1943. <br /> Recent work has included an airport master plan, <br /> layout plan, environmental studies, zoning maps, <br /> land acquisition assistance, and field surveys, as well <br /> as feasibility reports and plans and specifications for <br /> the recent expansion program that gave the airport <br /> the ability to handle business jet traffic. <br /> The Fergus Falls Municipal Airport Expansion <br /> Program, designed and engineered by TKDA, em- <br /> ployed a unique pavement structure to reduce the <br />affxeCts of unstable, frost-susceptible soils.
