Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #14 -12 -259 <br />RESOLUTION TO HIRE AN ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN III <br />WHEREAS, in an effort to meet the applicable goals of the strategic plan the City <br />conducted an internal and external recruitment for an Engineering Technician III; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Joe Feriancek has been selected as the top candidate for the position; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has completed the necessary background checks and is recommending <br />that Mr. Joe Feriancek be hired as a fulltime Engineering Technician III at $24.42 per hour with a <br />credit of 5 vacation days; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Feriancek will be subject to the City's Personnel Policy and /or union <br />contracts. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) Adopt resolution #14 -12 -259, to hire Mr. Joe Feriancek as a fulltime Engineering <br />Technician III, effective on or near December 29, 2014, at $24.42 per hour which is step 1 <br />of the 2014 wage scale, with a credit of 5 vacation days <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Tossey, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Strommen <br />Councilmember Riley <br />Councilmember Tossey <br />Councilmember Backous <br />Councilmember Johns <br />Councilmember Kuzma <br />Councilmember LeTourneau <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />and the following abstained: <br />None <br />
