Councilmember Backous introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #14 -12 -262 <br />RESOLUTION DISSOLVING THE RAMSEY HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT <br />AUTHORITY <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has found that it is in the public's best interest to dissolve <br />the Ramsey Housing and Redevelopment Authority; and <br />WHEREAS, by Resolution 914 -11 -236, the HRA approved the transfer of all HRA <br />assets to the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the HRA has not entered into any contract with the federal government or <br />any agency or instrumentality thereof for a loan or a grant with respect to any urban <br />redevelopment or low -rent public housing project that remains in effect; and <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing on the dissolution of the HRA was held after due notice on <br />December 9, 2014. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) The Ramsey Housing and Redevelopment Authority is hereby dissolved effective <br />December 31, 2014. <br />2) This resolution shall be published, and a certified copy provided to the Commissioner of <br />the Department of Employment and Economic Development, as required by Minnesota <br />Statute section 469.033, subdivision 7. <br />3) City staff shall undertake all necessary actions to effectuate the transfer of all HRA <br />assets, agreements and related documents to the City. <br />4) Upon dissolution, all rights of the HRA against any person, firm or corporation shall <br />accrue to and be enforced by the City. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Tossey, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Strommen <br />Councilmember Backous <br />Councilmember Tossey <br />Councilmember Johns <br />Councilmember Kuzma <br />Councilmember LeTourneau <br />Councilmember Riley <br />
