Councilmember LeTourneau introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #14 -12 -257 <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A 2 -YEAR LABOR AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY, AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYES <br />(AFSCME) <br />WHEREAS, the current AFSCME contract expires on December 31, 2014; and <br />WHEREAS, city staff and AFSCME have reached a tentative agreement on a two -year <br />labor agreement, effective January 1, 2015 through December 31, 2016; and <br />WHEREAS, the City and AFSCME have tentatively agreed to all articles within the <br />contracts, and; <br />WHEREAS, the City and AFSCME have tentatively agreed to continue the <br />Memorandum of Understandings for health insurance and uniforms based on updated terms, <br />effective January 1, 2015 through December 31, 2016; and; <br />WHEREAS, the City will administer the 2015 -2016 labor agreement as follows: <br />Duration: <br />2 -years / January 1, 2015 through December 31, 2016 <br />Woes: <br />2015: 2% Increase to the 2014 wage scale, effective on 01- 01 -15, for a Cost of Living <br />Adjustment. <br />2016: 2% increase to the 2015 wage schedule, effective on 01 -01 -16 for Cost of Living <br />Adjustment. <br />The employer will make the following contributions toward group health insurance coverage for <br />employees working 30 hours per week or more; as well as to purchase $20,000 of basic life <br />insurance for full -time regular employees working 30 hours per week or more. <br />2015 Health Insurance Contributions <br />Employee Only ..... ........................$871.74 <br />Employee + Spouse ......................$1142.00 <br />Employee + Children ....................$1226.00 <br />Family .................... .......................$1358.00 <br />Credit in Lieu of Coverage ........... $345.00 <br />
