Commission consensus is to request City Council approval to funds being <br />expended for a one-page flyer to be distributed City-wide the week of August 14 <br />advertisir~g the airport public hearing scheduled for August 21, 1985. <br /> <br />Chairman Ippel stated that there may be a computer graphic video of Gateway <br />North available from the University of Minnesota which could be shown on the <br />local cable channel. <br /> <br />Commissioner Stauffer suggested that a representative from Group W be invited <br />to the Jt~y Airport meeting to discuss the possibility of having the Gateway <br />North AirPbrt~ issue being addressed on the public access channel prior to the <br />public hearing. <br /> <br />Chairman Ippel stated that he will also invite a representative from KANO to <br />the July Airport meeting to seek airport issue coverage on the radio. <br /> <br />COMMISSI <br /> <br />Commissio~ler Greenberg stated that he would like to bring up for discussion the <br />possibili~y of airport building development taking place on the east side of <br />the runwaY rather than on the west side. Commissioner Greenberg stated that <br />airport b~!lding develol~nent could then be included in the Tax Increment <br />District, ~thereby generating enough taxes to pay back the City's share of <br />airport develol~ent. <br /> <br />Commissi°n consensus is to conduct a special meeting of the Ramsey Airport <br />Commission on Wednesday, June 26, 1985 at 7:30 p.m. to discuss the possibility <br />of Tax Inarement Financing coinciding with airport building development. <br /> <br />It was also n~ted that a picture of the Airport Commission is needed in <br />conjunction with an airport article that will appear in the next issue of the <br />Tri-City Newsletter.
