Chairman Ippe! stated that he has talked with Mr. Larry Koshak and Mr. Koshak <br />says that ~he[State feels that the contract for the Airport Master Plan is <br />acceptabl~, that the money is in place, approvals are %here and %hey are <br />waiting for a. resolution from Ramsey City Council regarding contract signature. <br />Once the State receives that resolution, they will issue a statement to <br />proceed and then the City will issue a statement to proceed to Hakanson/ <br />Anderson. <br /> <br />Chairman ~ppel inquired as to how plans are coming along for the Aviation <br />Day scheduled for June 2, 1984. <br /> <br />CommissiOner Patz stated that he has no formal report to make at this time; <br />that plans are in the beginning stages. <br /> <br />Chairman Ippel stated that he has been informed by Mr. Schnelle that funding <br />for a citY-wide mailing regarding the public meeting on May 16, 1984 and <br />the Aviation Day on June 2, 1984, should be appropriated through Council <br />approval. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Patz and seconded by Commissioner Sieber to request <br />authoriza~ionlfrom Ramsey City Council for funds for a total mailing to <br />citizens regarding the public meeting scheduled for May 16, 1984 and the <br />Aviation Day scheduled for June 2, 1984. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: <br />Moen, Don0van. and Greenberg. <br />Morrow, S0derholm and Siebert. <br /> <br />Chairman Ippel, Commissioners Patz, Sieber, <br />Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners <br /> <br />COMMISSION I.NPUT <br /> <br />Commissioner Donovan stated that he as Park Board Chairman and Commissioner <br />Greenberg as Economic Development Commission Chairman and Chairman Ippel <br />have attended workshop meetings with regard to economic development in the <br />community~ ~he main thrust of these meetings is to set City direction in <br />terms of economic development. To this point these meetings have been <br />round table discussions, airport issue has not come up, but if more does <br />come out of these workshops it could give the Airport Commission a little <br />more direction. <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle ~stated that various commission chairmen should get input from <br />their co~isSioners and anything wishing to be discussed can be added to <br />these workshOP agendas. <br /> <br />Motion bylCO~missioner Patz and seconded by Commissioner Donovan to adjourn <br />this regular ~meeting of the Airport Commission. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
