The report shall show: <br /> <br /> (a) The~complete cost of the construction; <br /> (b) Final quantities of the various units of work done; <br /> (c) Materials furnished for the project and the cost of <br /> ~ac~ item thereof; <br /> (d) Cos~ of labor, cost of equipment hired, and supervisory <br /> costs. <br /> <br />The reportlshall have attached a certificate by the registered <br />engineer or o~her person in charge that the work was done <br />according ~o fihe plans and specifications, or, if there were any <br />deviations'ifrOm them, an itemized statement of these deviations. <br /> <br />Subdivision 4.~ Alternate Procedure On Street Improvements. As <br />to any improvement or improvements consisting of grading, <br />graveling.,i'orI'lbltumznous' surfacing of streets and alleys, the <br />Council ma~ p~oceed in the manner provided in this Code, except <br />that it may <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />Order the work done by day labor, regardless of the <br />estimated cost of such improvement or improvements, and <br /> <br /> ~se iCity equipment or hire equipment and purchase <br /> materials for all such improvements to be done by day <br /> iab~r in any twelve-month period by advertising once <br /> ~he~efore, such advertisement to call for bids for the <br /> furKishing or equipment, if the City does not use its <br /> Own iequipment, and for materials at unit prices based <br />i ~n the quanitites which the Council estimates will be <br /> ~eq~ired. <br /> <br />(3) ~ontlract at one time on a unit-price basis for part or <br /> all !of the street improvements to be constructed by the <br /> C~tM during the current year, including improvements <br /> ~hicih may thereafter be ordered constructed. <br /> <br />Subdivisiom 5.: Cooneration With State Or Local Government. <br />When an improvement is made under a cooperative agreement with <br />the state' or another political subdivision by the terms of which <br />the state, or o~her subdivision is to construct or contract to <br />construct ~he iimprovement, it shall not be necessary to comply <br />with subdivisiuns 1 and 2 of this Section. <br /> <br />Subdivision 6.. Percentage Payment On Engineer's Estimate. <br />In case th~ co~tractor properly performs-the work, the Council <br />shall, fro~ month to month before completion of the work, pay him <br />not to exceed ~5 percent of the amount already earned under the <br />contract, upon: the estimate of the engineer or other competent <br />person sei~cte~ by the Council, and the contract shall so <br />provide, and shall further agree that when the work is 95 percent <br />or more co~ple~ed upon the recommendation of the engineer such <br />portions 0~ th~ retained price shall be released as the Council <br /> <br /> <br />
