New Northstar Service Guarantee Program Available in January. Metro Transit has
introduced a new program for Northstar customers that will provide a refund for any weekday trip
(excluding special event trains) that is 11 or more minutes late.
The program will run January 1 -31. Customers who sign up for the program can get a refund on a
fare for any regular weekday Northstar trip that is 11 or more minutes late for a posted arrival time
at Big Lake or Target Field stations.
Refunds are based on a customer's boarding station. For instance, if a trip from Big Lake to Target
Field Station is late by 11 minutes, a customer would get a refund of $6. To be eligible for a
refund, customers are required to pay their fare with a Go -To Card or pass (Metropass, U -Pass,
College Pass or Student Pass) and touch their card to a reader prior to boarding.
The program is available only for regularly scheduled weekday commuter trips. To register or
learn more about the program, visit metrotransit.org/Northstar.
