• <br />• <br />• <br />Further Discussion: Mr. Schnelle stated that such a map was developed in 1979. <br />Mayor Heitman inquired to why Ramsey is having a problem today if this high water <br />map was development; stated that he does not want to perpetuate a bad problem. <br />Councilmember Reimann noted that Ramsey is over the 100 year flood plain now. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br />Mr. Schnelle inquired if there is a possibility of using City equipment to alleviate <br />some of the water problems at the Bancroft home and any other private homes needing <br />assisstance, to be determined by the Public Works Superintendent. <br />Mayor Heitman stated that pumping would be a very short term solution; the water <br />level would be back up again the following day; the City can exercise the option <br />to satisfy the problems these people are confronted with but we should not make <br />promises we cannot keep. <br />Mr. Schnelle stated that all the City would do is pump the water out of the Bancroft <br />home so that their furnace can be lit; the Bancroft's would be responsible to <br />continue pumping from then on. <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Mayor Heitman directing the Public <br />Works Superintendent to pump at the Bancroft home, and any other home as deemed <br />necessary by the Public Works Superintendent. <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Reimann stated that the City will do this <br />immediate pumping to get the water level down but the property owners will be <br />responsible to continue pumping. Ms. Bancroft stated that she understands that <br />the City will get the water level down and she will continue to pump from then on. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br />Refer to page 6 of these minutes for additional comments. <br />Council recessed at 8:50 p.m. <br />Mayor Heitman called the meeting back to order at 9:05 p.m. <br />COUNCIL OLD BUSINESS <br />Case #1: Complete Unfinished -Council Old -Business -From Council Agenda•Dated <br />September 24,-1985: <br />Case #1: Personnel: <br />Councilmember Cox stated that he doesn't feel the issue of City <br />employees conducting private business while on duty at City Hall has <br />been adequately covered. Councilmember Cox stated that he would like <br />to see the City Attorney research this issue and report back to Council <br />at their next meeting. <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Reimann <br />directing the City Attorney to review the following issues and report <br />back to City Council at their meeting scheduled for October 22, 1985: <br />1.
