However, the plan
did not ind,~eate!the heights of the structures as required by the City Code.

With the p°~ibi~ity of Dysprosium Street being a high traffic volume MSA
street, thei~itylmay want to consider bike lanes and sidewalks. We have
discussed the fu'_~ding of sidewalks and bikeways with the Minnesota Department
of Transpor~tioh (MN/DOT). Sidewalks along MSA streets are eligible for MSA
funding; ho~wer~ separate bikeways are not. To provide bike lanes, the City
could constPLiCt ~ 44-foot wide street and mark the parking lanes for a combined
bike lane andl pa~king lane. This concept has been used in Fridley and Columbia
Heights.

The City may.a~$~, want to consider future traffic signals at County Road 116
and Dysprosium S~reet, 142nd Avenue and Dysprosium Street, and at T.H. 47 and
142nd Avenu~'. T~e signals along a MSA street would be eligible for MSA
funding; hoWe~ er~ the signals at T.H. 47 would require City participation.
If you have ahy. questions in regard to the proposed PUD, please let us know.
Yours tru ~

HAKANSON AND£RSO~ ASSOCIATES, INC.

PRR/jkw
CC: Zoning Members
Lloyd $~nel'~e, City Administrator
Bill Go~rich, City Attorney
H & $ As~h811~
R~ck F'og~e~i John Oliver & AsSociates
File: RA2:l§~'9~
- :. ~'vil · municipal · planning · soils ~ land surveying
