Receiv~ and review l~r. Dorn's comments regarding the charter. <br /> b. Incorporate results of the following into the charter draft: <br /> <br /> ,1. , December 8, 1983 Charter Commission meeting. <br /> 2. December 12, 1984 Charter Commission meeting. <br /> 3. Mr. Dorn's comments <br /> <br /> c. Reviewi charter for grammatical errors. <br /> <br /> d. ReView~ punchlist. <br /> <br /> e. S~mitl charter to City for establishment of an election date. <br /> <br />Commission consensus is that another public informational meeting will be <br />held prior to!the election. <br /> <br />Discussion endued regarding what if changes to the charter should come about <br />during that i~terim of submission of the charter to the City and the election <br />date. <br /> <br />Susan Be&~e ~inted out that any changes required could be made at the November, <br />1984 ele~%ionl, at very little cost to the City. <br /> <br />Commissio~er!Data pointed out that there will not be the opportunity for <br />flexibility a~aznthat the Commission has today. Any doubts should be <br />assuredly ~res61ved prior to submitting the charter to the City. <br /> <br />Chairman Heit~an stated that the charter can be recalled anytime prior to <br />the setting o~ an election date or it's first publication. <br /> <br />Commissiomer Data inquired if the charter would be sumitted to the Attorney <br />General f~r h'~is comments. <br /> <br />Chairman Heit~an replied that the Attorney General's opiniom becomes legally <br />binding a~d t~ey will not provide corrective action. <br />Commissio~eriData stated the Commission should obtain Mr. Dorn's opinion <br />regardi~glsu~mitting the charter to the Attorney General. <br /> <br />Motion by, Commissioner Lichter and seconded by Commissioner Greenberg to adjourn <br />this regular ~eeting of the Ramsey Charter Commission. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Heitman, Commissioners Bauerkemper, <br />Lichter,~Gre~nberg and Data. Voting No: None.
