Kurak txplained that he would need a variance for two homes on one parcel <br />as he plans to build a residence for himself on this property. Mr. Kurak <br />noted that this purchase is also intended as an investment; that in the future <br />he intends tolsubdivide and blacktop. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner LaDue to recommend <br />that Council approve a variance to the ordinance to allow one additional <br />structure on the subject property based on the following findings: <br /> <br /> 1. No~roperty subdivision. <br /> <br /> 2. Density will comply with Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br /> 3. That a~y further subdivision of property will require updating and <br /> d~eding of road to City and a platting process. <br /> <br />Further, a park fee shall be collected according to the new park fee ordinance. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Peterson, Commissioners Deemer, Kennen, <br />Zimmerman, LaDue and Hendriksen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #2: Ap~intments/~eap~ointments of Commission Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson <br /> .and~ Secretary: <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson stated that Sylvia Frolik would confinue to serve as Secretary. <br /> <br />Motion by lCommissioner LaDue and seconded by Commissioner Deemer to reappoint <br />Kenneth PeterSon as Planning and Zoning Chairperson and Commissioner Zimmerman <br />as vice-Cha~erson of Planning and Zoning Commission. <br /> <br />Motion cazried. Voting Yes: Chairman Peterson, Commissioners Deemer, Kennen <br />LaDue, Zl~eZi~an and Hendriksen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />P _nSNN!N~._ ~OMM~SS~ON ~NPUT <br /> <br />CommissioneriDeemer brought up the subject of Minneapolis' attempts at burning <br />and recyoiin~ of their garbage. <br /> <br />Motion by C~issioner Zimmerman and seconded by Commissioner Deemer recommending <br />that CoUncil :authorize City Staff to issue a letter to the City of Minneapolis <br />stating Ramsey's support of their efforts to burn and recycle their garbage. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Motion oarried. Voting Yes: Chairman Peterson, Commissioners Deemer, Kennen, <br />Zimmerman, ~endriksen and LaDue.
