Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #15-01-021 <br />RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING COUNCILMEMBER RANDY BACKOUS FOR HIS <br />SERVICE TO THE CITY OF RASMEY <br />WHEREAS, Randy Backous was elected to the Ramsey City Council At Large seat in <br />November 2010; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Backous officially took office in January 2011 and served the City <br />through December 2014; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Backous chose not to run for Council re-election in 2014; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey extends a thank you to Mr. Backous for his dedicated <br />service to the City; and <br />WHEREAS, a copy of this resolution has been presented to Randy Backous in recognition <br />for his service as Councilmember At Large in the City of Ramsey. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the City Council hereby commends and thanks Randy Backous for his dedicated <br />service as Councilmember At Large for the City of Ramsey. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br />the 27th day of January, 2015. <br />Mayor Sarah Strommen <br />ATTEST: <br />City Clerk Jo Ann M.
