Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #15-01-023 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNAL MAINTENANCE <br />AGREEMENT NO. 07023 WITH THE STATE OF MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF <br />TRANSPORATATION AND ANOKA COUNTY <br />WHEREAS, Anoka County is proposing improvements to the intersection of Trunk <br />Highway No. 10 and Anoka County State Aid Highway No. 83 (Armstrong Boulevard) to <br />improve traffic operations and increase safety; and <br />WHEREAS, Trunk Highway No. 10 is under the jurisdiction of the State of Minnesota, <br />Department of Transportation; and <br />WHEREAS, County State Aid Highway No. 83 (Armstrong Boulevard) is a County <br />State Aid Highway under the jurisdiction of Anoka County; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed intersection improvements require improvements to both <br />Trunk Highway No. 10 and Anoka County State Aid Highway No. 83 (Armstrong Boulevard); <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey, Anoka County and the State of Minnesota, Department <br />of Transportation desire to work cooperatively to construct the proposed improvements. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) That the City of Ramsey agrees to enter into MnDOT Agreement No. 07023 with the <br />State of Minnesota, Department of Transportation and Anoka County for the following <br />purposes: <br />a. To provide for the power, operation and maintenance of the new Traffic Control <br />Signal including an Emergency Vehicle Pre-emption system on Trunk Highway <br />No. 10 at County State Aid Highway No. 83 (Armstrong Boulevard) North <br />Ramps in the City of Ramsey, Anoka County, Minnesota; and <br />b. To provide for the power, operation and maintenance for the revised Traffic <br />Control Signal on Anoka County State Aid Highway No. 83 (Armstrong <br />Boulevard) at Sunwood Drive/147th Avenue NW in the City of Ramsey, Anoka <br />County, Minnesota. <br />RESOLUTION #15-01-023 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
