Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #15-01-029 <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING THE CITY'S RATES AND CHARGES BY ESTABLISHING A <br />FEE FOR MASSAGE ESTABLISHMENTS AND THERAPISTS <br />WHEREAS, on January 27, 2015, the City of Ramsey amended Ramsey City Code Chapter 26 <br />(Licenses, Permits and Miscellaneous Business Regulations) by adding Article XVIII Massage <br />Businesses and Services; and <br />WHEREAS, the City desires to amend the official list of Rates and Fees to include a permit fee <br />and background check fee for massage establishments and massage therapists. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the City of Ramsey hereby amends the official list of Rates and Charges, as adopted by City <br />Council on November 25, 2014, to include the following fees: <br />a) Massage Establishment - $100 per year <br />b) Massage Establishment Owner/Manager Background Check Fee - $50 <br />c) Massage Therapist - $50 per year <br />d) Massage Therapist Background Check Fee - $35 <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember , and <br />upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 27th <br />day of January, 2015. <br />Mayor Sarah Strommen <br />ATTEST: <br />City Clerk Jo Ann M.
