Now <br /> leg/slat/on providing that protection to the City and it <br /> ~at~ the City will never (~n and develop that property, Council <br /> t tb move that money to another trust fund for park development. <br /> <br /> City Ac¢~t~nt Baapala stated that there is just over $300,000 in that <br /> landfill {Itru~ t fund account now. <br /> <br /> City At~.rney Goodrich stated that the City will be receiving close to <br /> $14,000i~er ~,onth from t/pping fees at the landfill. <br /> I <br /> Council~mbe~ Schlueter suggested creating a new trust fund account for the <br /> tipping ~ees{ collected and leaving the present trust fund secure until the <br /> City is{ lur~ that money can be spent elsewhere. <br /> <br /> Council~ ~ Sorteberg stated that if Council shifts that money too <br /> hastily, it ~dght get spent wrecklessly. <br /> <br />t City Adm: ni~trator Schnelle stated that it was intended for those monies in <br /> that tr~ .t ~und to take care ~f problems at landfill; the State and County <br /> are n~ ~ro~iding that protection and the money should be transferred <br />I accord~n Ily ~so that money does not get spent on a landfill that is being <br /> operate~ by }~ private sector.
