City At~.rney Goodrich stated that the City will be receiving close to $14,000i~er ~,onth from t/pping fees at the landfill. I Council~mbe~ Schlueter suggested creating a new trust fund account for the tipping ~ees{ collected and leaving the present trust fund secure until the City is{ lur~ that money can be spent elsewhere. Council~ ~ Sorteberg stated that if Council shifts that money too hastily, it ~dght get spent wrecklessly. t City Adm: ni~trator Schnelle stated that it was intended for those monies in that tr~ .t ~und to take care ~f problems at landfill; the State and County are n~ ~ro~iding that protection and the money should be transferred I accord~n Ily ~so that money does not get spent on a landfill that is being operate~ by }~ private sector.
