Jankowski, City Engineer <br /> <br />BackgroUnd: <br /> <br />This project in~,olves the connection of Anna Boe's property located on County Road #5 to <br />the City'S munk:ipal system. This improvement project entails the setting of a service tap <br />and a v~/l~e b~x which cost approximately $300, however, the benefit the property is <br />receiving is cohsiderably greater than this amount. The City approved an agreement with <br />Mrs. Bo¢ bn l'~lovember 10, 1992, which specified the terms for the connection. That <br />agreemcn~t~pedified that the property owner agrees to pay a total of $7,636 for the benefits <br />received fi'om 'the connection as a special assessment. In order for the City to legally <br />exercise it~q rigfl~t to this special assessment, a pUblic hearing must be held, regardless of the <br />fact that l~h¢ a~eement specifically abrogates the right of the property owner to object to the <br />assessments. <br /> <br />Council ActiOn: <br /> <br />No other Council action is needed than to hold the public heating.
