Bids for the work were ;soliaited as an alternate bid attached to Improvement Project g92-14. 992, the City Council awarded the bid for the paving in the amount of ie bid was solicited for the placing of the bituminous pavement only, as it the preliminary grading work would be performed by the City. At the time was noted that it would be desirable to have the contractor perform the addition to the paving as this would eliminate coordinating schedules and it e any dispute over responsibility for correcting pavement defects.
