BackgrOund:[ <br /> <br />AMENDING SECTION 7,53.11 OF THE <br /> OFF-SALE LIQUOR ORDINANCE <br /> By: Michael Auspos, Police Chief <br /> <br />CASE # <br /> <br />At the City COuncil meeting of June 29, 1992, the situation at Ralph's Highway #10 <br />Liquor (l~ayingiless than 4,000 square feet of retail and storage space) was discussed. The <br />Council'~ :aCtiOn, on a motion by Councilmember Zimmerman and seconded by <br />CouncilrmimbOr Beyer, was to give the establishment ten months from July 1, 1992 to <br />comply With ~ty Code. In the interim, City Staff was directed to study the ordinance to <br />assist the CounCil in reviewing the ordinance. <br /> <br />After. City 5taft reviewed the ordinance and brought the finding before Council on August <br />25, 1992~, 2ouficil directed Staff to meet with the Planning and Zoning Commission for <br />their review an~t recommendations. <br /> <br />At the Oet0beri26, 1992 Planning and Zoning Commission meeting, it was recommended <br />that CitY :Coug¢il delete, from Section 7.53.11, Subdivisions 2 and 6 which deal, <br />respectivel~w~nsmlction requirements and square foot requirements. <br />On Noy~mr ber~ 16, 19/92, Council introduced Ordinance #92-XX amending Section <br />7.53.11(.~ The ¢ou~AYvote was as follows: In favor of - Councilmembers Peterson and <br />Hardin;~- Councilmember Beyer; Abstain - Mayor Gilbertson; and Absent - <br />Councilm ~6~hbe~y Zimmerman.
