(WMMI) this letter is to inform you
that when ~h~ Anoka Regional Landfill is closed in 1993 there will
be an estimated 700,000 in-place cubic yards of remaining capacity
as of ~hat!time, as a result the required deduction for
closure/pOst iclosure has increased to $11.91 per cubic yard which
causes the g~oss revenue for the Anoka Landfill to be a negative
number. ConSequently, there will be no additional payments to
either city.

On July 27, 1992, WM~I submitted to the Minnesota Pollution Control
Agency a revi~ed site grading plan. The grading plan was necessary
because at th~ time of closure, September 1993, the Anoka Regional
Landfill will have a remaining capacity of about 700,000 in-place
cubic yards. i WM~I has been unable to secure the additional refuse
volume neededlto use all of our capacity due to County designation
ordinances an~ other market considerations. It will be necessary
to regrade~the landfill prior to placing final cover since we will
not reach the elevations as indicated in the original vertical
expansion .plans. To develop the revised grading plan WMMI has
estimated 'that between August 1, 1992 and September 31, 1993
approximately~330,480 gate cubic yards of refuse will be disposed
of in the Landfill.

a division of Waste Management of Minnesota, Inc.
