Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #92-10- RESOLUTION ~AUTHORIZING CITY ENGINEER TO REQUEST, FROM 'IINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, A WARRANT STUDY F!2R THE INSTALLATION OF A SIGNALIZED INTERSECTION FOR THE INTERSECTION OF 167TH AVENUE N.W. AND TRUNK HIGHWAY #47 arterial growth WHEREAS, the intersection of 167th Avenue N.W. and Trunk Highway #47 involve jurisdictions of the Minnesota Department of Transportation and the City of Ramsey; and WHEREAS, both 167th Avenue N.W. and Trunk Highway #47 are collector and streets With~ the City of Ramsey; and WHEREAS, traffic along these streets have been increasing in proportion with the rapid of the City of Ramsey; and WHEREAS, the City Engineer has received a petition signed by a considerable number of Ramsey and area residents requesnng a s~gnahzed xntersecnon. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) 2) That the City Engineer is hereby authorized to request a warrant study by the Minnesota Departmeni of Transportation for the intersection of 167th Avenue N.W. and Trunk Highway #47. That upon completion of the warrant study, the City Engineer shall report to the City Council as tb the findings and recommend what future course of action should be taken. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and Upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following Were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 24th day Of Oct6ber, 1992.
