Councilmember <br />adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following <br /> <br />resolution and moved for its <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #92-10- <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT # RELATING TO A <br />REQUEST :FROM RON DANNER OF DANNER'S CABINET SHOP FOR A <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO EXPAND HIS MANUFACTURING <br />OPERATION IN A B-I BUSINESS DISTRICT <br /> <br />1. That. Mr. Ron Danner, hereinafter referred to as the "Applicant", properly applied for a <br /> condiflon~ use permit to expand Danner's Cabinet Shop, a manufacturing operation, in the <br /> B-1 Business District. <br />2. That the ,5~pplicant appeared before the Planning ,and Zoning Commission for a public <br /> hearing pu~'suant to Section 9.03.04 of the Ramse) City Code on October 15, 1992 and <br /> that Said Ptjblic hearing was properly advemsed and that the minutes of said public hearing <br /> are hereby ~ncorporated by reference. <br />3. Thm the SUbject property is generally known as 16735 Quicksilver Street N.W. and is <br /> legally described as follows: <br /> <br />The Northi200.00 feet of the West 187.00 feet of Lot 3, Block 7, Klemish Addition, <br />accorclingm the recorded plat thereof, Anoka County, Minnesota. <br /> <br />That the su~bject property is approximately .85 acres in size. <br /> <br />That'the su;bject property is zoned B-1 Business. <br /> <br />That the adjacent parcels to the south and east are zoned B-1 Business and the adjacent <br />parce4s to the north and west are zoned R- 1 Rural Residential. <br /> <br />That:Secti0n 9.20.21 of the Ramsey Cit5, Code states that manufacturing is not a permitted <br />use in the 1~-1 Business Dismct. <br /> <br />That records indicate that the City issued a building permit for the ori~nal construction of <br />the Cabinet(shop in 1975 and there is no indication of what the property was zoned and if a <br />conditional! use permit was necessary.. <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />That records indicate that the Ciu, issued a building permit,for an expansion of the cabinet <br />shop:iq 1.9~9 and there is no indication of what the propert5 was zoned and if a conditional <br />use petrmt ~,'as necessary. <br /> <br />That:the C~ty approved a variance in 1984 for an expansion of the cabinet shop that would <br />encroaCh oh the rear yard setback. At the time the variance was reviewed, it was noted in <br />the rce~ord ~at the cabinet shop was a non-conforming use and by the variance, the City <br />~ant~ an iimplied conditional use permit approving the existence and expansion of the <br />cabiqe~ m~ufacturing operation in the B- 1 Business District. <br /> <br />That SectiOn 9.03.04 of the Ramsey City Code states that an amended conditional use <br />permit; may, be applied for in a manner similar to that required for a new conditional use <br />permit:whe~ there is an expansion of use. <br /> <br /> <br />
